Workshop with Rococo dances

Is there anything better than spending a whole week dancing?
And nothing drives away stress and worries faster,
and relaxes tense nerves more than filling your head
with beautiful spatial paths and steps,
in order to drive away everyday life.

You have been thinking about starting
with living history for a long time and getting a perfect start
into the courtly life of the Rococo.
This course will give you everything you need
to be able to take part in the various balls and events
of the Baroque and Rococo eras in the future.
Here we will also show you how intensively and completely
you want to enter the scene in the future
and there is almost no better platform
for self-expression than the backdrop of historic Eichstätt.

During the Baroque and Rococo periods,
the so-called English or contra dances spread throughout Europe.
From the descriptions of many chroniclers such
as Pepys, de Croÿ and Casanova, we know that they provided pleasure
and entertainment on a variety of occasions,
often until late into the night, at large balls,
in ballrooms, but also in some inns or at private events.

Since the focus of the balls and the course
is on the fascination of the festivals and the carnival rather
than on a fixed historical anniversary,
I was able to select and prepare many beautiful things
in order to spend the whole week with the most charming contredances
of the Baroque and Rococo periods.

The course is structured in such a way
that we really move step by step from the simple
to the extensive dances, from the basics
to the impressive step combinations,
until the entire program of the ball is accessible even to beginners.
Everyone can attend the ball relaxed and confidently.

to know all these beautiful dances with us.
