I. Invitation to an Initial Stroll

What a magnificent prospect—to linger for nearly an entire week within the historical heart of Eichstätt! I invite you anew to this architectural pearl of the Baroque, that we may attune ourselves to our grand ball far removed from the mundane, and master the multifaceted dances of the Rococo together.

Yet what would the art of the dance be without the art of a refined appearance? In order to afford you the opportunity to parade your wardrobe in a truly worthy setting, I have deliberately curtailed our artistic exercises somewhat on Wednesday. Thus, we grant ourselves the leisure to leave the ballroom and discover the alluring treasures of the city. Imagine the pleasure: we stroll in our magnificent garments through the elegant grounds of Eichstätt and, during this first promenade, revive the epoch of our hearts for an afternoon. It is a seeing and being seen, a veritable feast for the eyes and the senses.

Accompanying this aesthetic delight, I invite you to a charming excursion on this day. Under expert guidance, we shall fathom the secrets and the precious knowledge surrounding the history and beauty of this residence city. In order to do justice to all guests of our illustrious society, we shall naturally offer this intellectual refreshment in both the German and English languages, provided there is sufficient participation.

II. The Playground of the Rococo: Eichstätt

A more dignified setting for our endeavor can scarcely be conceived. Eichstätt, with its magnificent squares, the prince-episcopal residence, and the elegant halls, is the perfect architectural backdrop. Whoever wanders through the alleys in historical attire today or enters the splendid chambers immediately senses: this city is a veritable playground of the Rococo. It provides us with the perfect stage to bring the elegance and splendor of the eighteenth century into the present.

III. The Pleasures of the Table to Conclude

As the afternoon gradually wanes and we have sufficiently delighted in the architectural splendor of the gardens, physical well-being naturally demands its due. To round off this charming excursion most excellently, I invite the society to a communal dinner in a tradition-steeped tavern of the city following our promenade. In a relaxed, convivial gathering and with good fare, we shall let the day draw to a tranquil close—for what would the highest culture of the mind and the dance be without the shared pleasures of a well-set table?
