Le Bon Galant

As previously described, we dedicate ourselves entirely to the "Le Bon Genre" format during our festivities. Instead of counting stitches, we create a perfect optical illusion together in the magnificent setting of Eichstätt. The Cioccolata Calda offers you the perfect space to leave everyday life behind and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the Rococo with joy and lightness.

The true heart of this experience is the "Bon Ton Galant" – the art of cultivated encounter and elegant movement. In our courses, you not only learn the festive sequences of steps but also naturally internalize the refined posture and historical etiquette to which this gallant style obliges us. Thus, you glide perfectly prepared, relaxed, and full of anticipation into our glamorous ball night.

For our Rococo week, historical attire is requested.
Absolute perfection is not demanded; the joy of appearance
and respect for the era take precedence.
The following styles serve for the fine distinction of the occasions:

Ladies: Wide hoop skirts (Paniers),
tight bodices with square necklines and decorated stomachers.
Heavy silks and brocades.

Gentlemen: Knee-length, richly adorned Justaucorps
over a contrasting waistcoat.
Paired with Culottes, smooth silk stockings, Jabot,
powdered wig, and a dress sword worn at the side.

Ladies: Reduced skirt volume, often pinned-up overskirts
for greater freedom of movement. Necklines covered by Fichus
or Mantelets, paired with flat straw hats (Bergère).

Gentlemen: Softer draping coats in muted colors, simpler waistcoats.
The tricorne is worn on the head or tucked under the arm,
a walking cane serves as an accessory.

Ladies: Strictly smaller pocket hoops for legroom,
floor-clearing skirts, and a tight bodice.
The powdered coiffure must absolutely remain suitable for dancing
(no extreme tower hairstyles).
Light dancing shoes (Louis-Heel).

Gentlemen: Close-fitting, openly worn Justaucorps,
Gilet, and Culottes. White shirt with fine lace cuffs,
powdered wig (mandatory!) and heeled dancing shoes.
The tricorne may not be worn in the hall.

There is no obligation to wear a mask at the ball.
However, a fitting historical mask is expressly recommended
for the unconstrained revelry of the Carnevale
and enriches the atmosphere.

• The Art of Gallantry: Approach all guests of the ball week with that timeless gallantry and obliging courtesy that render the social interaction of the 18th century so incomparable.
• The Play of Society: Mingle unconstrainedly among the guests. Whether at the communal supper, the promenade, or in the casino – the forging of new acquaintances and stimulating conversation are the true spirit of Le Bon Genre.
• At the Buffet: The gentleman companion assumes the carrying of the plates. The lady selects the viands and serves them for herself and her companion.
• Taking a Seat: The gentleman companion draws the chair for his lady.
• Etiquette at the Table: Should a lady rise from the table, all gentlemen seated at the table shall rise immediately.
• Unaccompanied Ladies: Ladies without their own gentleman companion shall turn to a gentleman present and request the necessary attendance.
• Appreciation through Punctuality: As the various divertissements, courses, and excursions of the week are delicately coordinated, punctual attendance is a mark of respect towards the organizers and the society.

• Photographs and Court Painters: To preserve the illusion of the era, we request that mobile telephones be silenced in the hall and utilized only discreetly. As we dispense with our own "court painter", we are all the more grateful for every guest who captures the most beautiful moments and shares them with the society in our photo album.

• Ticket Sales and the Foundation of the Ball Week: In order to ensure the magnificent execution of the festivities, we politely request your timely booking from the start of advance sales on September 1, 2026. As the Grand Masquerade Ball forms the center of our days together, the realization of all courses and divertissements is strictly bound to its occurrence. The prerequisite for this is a society of at least 50 persons by December 31, 2026.
• Divertissements and Individual Courses: Please note that specific participant numbers are also required for the individual program points (the Cioccolata, for instance, requires 20 to a maximum of 50 registrations). Should a single course not reach this number, only this specific program point will be cancelled. This may shift the general commencement of the festivities for the affected guests (for example, to Saturday evening).
• Accommodation & Concierge Service: Take advantage of our new exclusive and complimentary concierge service. Most hotel rooms are reserved for our guests until January 31, 2027!
• Culinary Arts and Own Expenses: Apart from the provided refreshment water during the dance courses, the Cioccolata calda, and our festive buffet volant at the ball, we kindly ask you to note that all further or self-ordered food and beverages (for instance, during tavern visits) are to be settled directly by each guest themselves.
• Please note our booking phases: Until the minimum number of participants is secured, we exclusively offer you our comprehensive, discounted event packages. As soon as the hosting of the event is assured, the package offer will close and henceforth only individual tickets for the ball and the remaining workshops will be available for purchase.
• We most politely point out that the event "Una Cioccolata calda" is reserved exclusively for our guests with the arrangements "Petit Forfait" & "Grand Forfait0" from September 1 onwards, and is not available as an individual booking.

Should the minimum number of participants, contrary to expectations, not be reached
and the event have to be cancelled from our side,
the paid fee will naturally be refunded to you entirely
and without deductions.
