Regulations for the Veille de Nuit

As previously described, our festivities are entirely dedicated to the "Le Bon Genre" format. Instead of counting tricks, we are creating a perfect visual illusion together within the magnificent backdrop of Eichstätt. The Veille de Nuit offers you the perfect space to leave everyday life behind and to immerse yourself with joy and lightness into the fascinating world of the Rococo.

The true centerpiece of this experience is the "Bon Ton Galant" – the art of cultivated encounter and elegant movement. In our courses, you will not only learn the festive sequences of steps, but naturally internalize the refined posture and historical etiquette to which this gallant style commits us. Thus, you will glide into our magnificent ball night perfectly prepared, relaxed, and full of anticipation.

Historical attire is requested for our Rococo week.
Absolute perfection is not required; the joy of presentation
and respect for the era are of primary importance.
The following styles serve to distinguish the occasions:

De Promenade • Daytime Fashion

Ladies: Reduced skirt volume, often pinned-up overskirts
for greater freedom of movement. Necklines covered by fichus
or mantelets, accompanied by flat straw hats (bergère).
Cloaks, capes, or dominoes and zendals with moretta or bauta
to maintain discretion.

Gentlemen: Softer-draping coats in muted colors, simpler waistcoats.
The tricorne is worn on the head or tucked under the arm,
a walking stick serves as an accessory.

The Play of Masks

One maintained one's incognito on public paths.
However, a suitable historical mask is expressly recommended
for the carefree bustle of the Carnevale
and enriches the atmosphere.

Etiquette at the Table

The Art of Gallantry: Treat all guests of the ball week with the timeless gallantry and courteous politeness that make social interaction in the 18th century so incomparable.
The Play of Society: Mingle freely with the guests. Whether during the communal souper, the promenade, or in the casino – making new acquaintances and engaging in stimulating conversation are the true spirit of the Le Bon Genre.
At the Buffet: The gentleman takes charge of carrying the plates. The lady selects the dishes and places them for herself and her companion.
Seating: The gentleman pulls out the chair for his lady.
Etiquette at the Table: If a lady rises from the table, all gentlemen sitting at the table rise immediately.
Unaccompanied Ladies: Ladies without their own gentleman may approach a gentleman present and request his necessary attention.
Appreciation through Punctuality: As the various divertissements, courses, and excursions of the week are finely coordinated, punctual attendance is a sign of respect for the organizers and society.

House Rules and Keepsakes

Photographs and Court Painters: To preserve the illusion of the era, we ask that you mute mobile phones in the hall and use them only discreetly. Since we do not have our own "court painter," we are all the more grateful for every guest who captures the most beautiful moments and shares them with the society in our photo album.

Booking & Organization

Ticket Sales and the Foundation of the Ball Week: In order to ensure the magnificent execution of the festivities, we politely request your timely booking starting from the advance sale date of September 1, 2026. As the Grand Masquerade Ball forms the center of our days together, the realization of all courses and divertissements is strictly bound to its occurrence. A prerequisite for this is a society of at least 50 persons by December 31, 2026.
Divertissements and Individual Courses: Please note that specific participant numbers are also required for the individual program items (e.g., the Veille de Nuit requires 30 registrations). Should an individual course not reach this number, only that specific program item will be cancelled. This may shift the general start of the festivities for affected guests (e.g., to Saturday morning).
Accommodation & Concierge Service: Take advantage of our new exclusive and complimentary concierge service. Most hotel rooms are reserved for our guests until January 31, 2027!
Culinary Matters and Personal Expenses: Apart from the provided nightcap, please note that all other or self-ordered food and drinks (such as during refreshment hours) must be paid for directly by each guest.
Please note our booking phases: Until the minimum number of participants is secured, we offer only our comprehensive, discounted event packages. As soon as the event is confirmed, the package offer will close, and henceforth only individual tickets for the ball as well as the remaining workshops will be available for purchase.
We politely point out that from September 1, the "Veille de Nuit" event is reserved exclusively for our guests with the "Petit Forfait" & "Grand Forfait" arrangements and is not available as an individual booking.

Note on Refunds

Should the minimum number of participants not be reached
contrary to expectations and the event has to be cancelled by us,
the fee paid will of course be refunded to you in full
and without deductions.
